The Balancing Act

"Balance". That's what I'm trying to restore for myself and my family. 


It isn't easy. I'd be lying if I told you that being a full-time mom, launching a mom-centered non-profit, running a household, being a wife, being a friend, volunteering and pursuing other passions that fulfill my soul comes easily. It doesn't. 



Sometimes, I need to practice what I preach. It all goes back to basics: mind, body, soul. I've been more intentional about where I project my energy and more discerning about with whom I share my energy. I'm intentional with foods I eat and staying hydrated. (After all, real food is fuel. No fuel = No energy. No energy = none of the awesomeness that I would like to accomplish.) Last, but not least, I'm trying to be more intentional about honoring what my body is capable of...and empowering myself to MOVE more. Let's face it, with a 3-year-old, I feel like I'm moving non-stop, but I need to take time to move the way I would like to, also. 


Protect your energy & if it doesn't serve you or feels icky, walk away. If I find myself in a situation that shows a hint of negative energy, I walk the heck away. Ain't nobody got time for negative energy.


Energy will always be in flux, because it's constantly in motion. There will be ups and there will be downs...but more ups will continuously follow the downs and so on. In being more intentional in how I approach my wellness from a mind-body-soul aspect always brings me a sense of peace, of "balance". I'm not aspiring for perfection, I'm simply aspiring to live my best life.


My wish for everyone on this #wellnesswednesday is that everyone can achieve this sense of peace and truly experience "balance" (however it may look/feel to you)by honoring your mind, body, & soul. . .


It all starts from within.
